Job summary

Hyatt Regency Phoenix is seeking a Security Officer to help create a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests and colleagues. You will protect hotel assets, monitor safety operations, respond to emergencies, and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Ideal candidates demonstrate strong situational awareness, sound judgment, professionalism, and calmness under pressure while enforcing policies and coordinating with local responders as needed.

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional presence throughout the property to promote safety.
• Conduct routine patrols of hotel facilities and grounds to identify safety concerns.
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, including medical incidents and alarms.
• Investigate, document, and prepare detailed reports regarding incidents and suspicious activities.
• Enforce hotel policies and applicable laws while managing situations with professionalism.
• Assist with lost and found procedures, ensuring proper documentation and handling.
• Provide assistance, information, and directions to guests and colleagues with outstanding service.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and other security equipment to mitigate threats.
• Support hotel operations and events by maintaining a safe environment during conferences.
• Collaborate with hotel leadership to promote a culture of safety and security.

Job Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for protecting hotel assets, monitoring safety and security operations, responding to emergencies, and delivering exceptional customer service. Success in this position requires strong situational awareness, sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional presence throughout the property to promote safety and security for guests and colleagues.
• Conduct routine patrols of hotel facilities and grounds to identify and address safety concerns, security risks, or unusual activity.
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, including medical incidents, fire alarms, accidents, and other security-related situations.
• Investigate, document, and prepare detailed reports regarding incidents, accidents, property damage, and suspicious activities.
• Enforce hotel policies and applicable laws while managing challenging situations with professionalism, discretion, and respect.
• Assist with lost and found procedures, ensuring accurate documentation and the secure handling of guest belongings.
• Provide assistance, information, and directions to guests and colleagues, delivering outstanding customer service at all times.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and other security equipment to identify and mitigate potential threats.
• Support hotel operations and special events by helping maintain a safe environment during conferences, meetings, and periods of high guest activity.
• Collaborate with hotel leadership and department teams to promote a culture of safety and security throughout the property.
