White Lodging seeks a Security Officer to promote a safe and welcoming environment across its hotels. You will patrol indoor and outdoor areas, monitor CCTV, control access, and respond to incidents with clear written reports.

The role emphasizes guest safety, incident documentation, and collaboration with hotel leadership to maintain a positive experience for guests and associates alike.

Qualifications

• Experience in security, hospitality, or customer service.
• Knowledge of CCTV operations is a plus.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain after hire).
• Ability to write clear, professional incident and investigative reports.
• Strong interpersonal skills and calm demeanor in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Patrol interior and exterior areas to identify safety risks or security breaches.
• Monitor and document activity from security cameras and report unusual conditions.
• Control access to associate entrances and issue visitor passes.
• Respond to incidents and create written reports on events.
• Assist with lost and found, secure property, and maintain logs.
• Support emergency response efforts including fire, medical, or evacuation procedures.
• Generate associate ID cards and assist with security administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure a safe guest experience.

The Security Officer promotes a safe and welcoming environment for guests and associates by maintaining order, enforcing property policies, and responding to incidents. This role is responsible for patrolling hotel grounds, monitoring security systems, and investigating and documenting events such as theft, injury, or property damage.

What You’ll Do

• Patrol interior and exterior areas to identify safety risks, suspicious behavior, or security breaches.
• Monitor and document activity from security cameras, reporting any unusual or unsafe conditions.
• Control access to associate entrances, issue and collect visitor passes, and safeguard hotel keys.
• Respond to incidents including theft, property damage, unlawful entry, or guest disturbances, creating clear written reports.
• Assist with lost and found, secure property, and maintain detailed activity logs.
• Support emergency response efforts including fire, medical, severe weather, or evacuation procedures.
• Generate associate identification cards and assist with other security-related administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with hotel leadership and associates to ensure a safe and positive guest experience.

What You’ll Bring

• Previous security, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of CCTV operations is a plus.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain after hire).
• Ability to write clear, professional incident and investigative reports.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm and tactful in stressful situations.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
