Job summary

The Rittenhouse is seeking a Security Officer to monitor and protect hotel guests, staff, and property while delivering friendly, courteous service. You will patrol designated areas, respond to disturbances, file detailed incident reports, and ensure guest privacy and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include assisting guests with access to rooms, supporting bell staff as needed, maintaining logs, and adhering to safety and sustainability guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Prior security experience is desirable.
• CPR/First Aid preferred.

• Maintain a daily activity log.
• Maintain confidentiality with respect to guest and employee incidents.
• Prepare incident reports and communicate information to hotel management.
• Access secured areas for authorized personnel.
• Complete incident/accident reports clearly.
• Escort guests to rooms and assist with entry.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and improve service.
• Follow EarthView sustainability guidelines.
• Practice safe work habits and wear safety equipment.
• Monitor TV cameras, if applicable.
• Perform bell person tasks and assist guests with luggage.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

• Escort guests to their rooms or assist guest’s w/entry into their rooms according to hotel standards.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Monitor TV cameras, if applicable.
• Perform bell person tasks and assist guests with luggage.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Your Background And Skills

• HighSchool diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Prior security experience is desirable.
• CPR/First Aid preferred.
