Job summary

Ascension in Hoffman Estates, IL is seeking a part-time Security Officer to monitor and protect staff and visitors during night shifts. You will patrol facilities, respond to incidents, and assist in safety drills as part of a campus-wide safety program.

Responsibilities include maintaining secure environments, documenting incidents, and mentoring staff on safety procedures to promote preparedness and reliability across the Ascension Saint Alexius facility.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required prior to hire
• BLS Provider certification preferred
• Illinois Security Guard credential preferred
• PERC card preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent or 1 year of related experience required

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Any State DL is accepted.
• BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted preferred.
• Security Guard credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation preferred
• Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC) card preferred

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
