Job summary

Securitas USA in Eugene, OR is seeking a Security Officer for full-time night shift Sundays to Thursdays, 10pm-6am. You will patrol premises, monitor systems, control access, and respond to emergencies to maintain a safe environment.

Responsibilities include enforcing safety protocols, assisting visitors, and providing a visible deterrent. Candidates should have excellent communication, strong observation skills, and the ability to work independently, with pre-employment screening required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
• Experience with security, law enforcement, or military is a plus.
• Willingness to pass pre-employment screening including drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of premises to identify security risks.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and security equipment.
• Control building access by verifying IDs and managing visitor logs.
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies.
• Enforce security protocols and regulations for premises, personnel, and visitors.

Site Location: Eugene, OR
Wage : $17.25/HR
Schedule : Sunday - Thursday 10pm-6am

The Security Officer protects people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment. They serve as a helpful professional resource while ensuring everyone on the property follows safety protocols.

Objectives

• Ensure the safety and security of personnel, property, and company assets.

• Enforce security protocols, company rules, and regulations for premises, personnel, and visitors.
• Inspect doors, windows, gates, and security equipment to prevent unauthorized access.
• Investigate suspicious activities, behavior, and security breaches.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus!!
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.
• Must have strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
