Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Security Officer for a part-time, second shift position in Kentucky. You will provide direct security and related public services, respond to emergencies, deter threats, and help ensure a safe, welcoming hospital environment.

The role requires strong communication, vigilance, and the ability to enforce policies while coordinating with staff, patients, visitors, and vendors. Training and qualification standards are specified in the requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Driver's License with satisfactory driving record.
• BCLS certification within 90 days.
• Taser X26P or Taser 7 course within 6 months.
• Handcuff course within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Ability to physically intervene during crisis.
• Constantly alert and vigilant for activities which could result in injury or property loss.
• Emergency response.
• Communicates effectively with diverse people including clients, staff, visitors or vendors.
• Enforces and abides by all hospital policies and guidelines.
