Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Fairfax, VA. You will provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff and vendors, perform routine patrols, assist with access control, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

Qualifications

• Must have customer service experience or be able to provide excellent service to patients, visitors, staff and vendors.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive as required.
• Guard card/license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

As a driving Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff through exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 06:45 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sat 06:45 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, patient care areas, parking facilities, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry points, verifying authorized access as directed, and reporting unusual activity or policy concerns.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and/or daily activities accurately in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Security Professional Guard Card or license is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
