Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Security Officer/Patrol Driver in Fairfax, VA. You will provide customer service, perform routine vehicle patrols, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents at a utilities location.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to document activities clearly. CPR/First Aid is preferred, along with prior customer service experience and comfortable computer use.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a utility operations location by following site-specific procedures and security policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain logs and records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and coordinate with appropriate personnel.
• Report maintenance concerns, hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations following procedures.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.22 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a utility operations location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization as directed, and maintain accurate activity logs and records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and support emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Report maintenance concerns, hazardous conditions, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership in accordance with established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
