Job summary

The Durst Organization is seeking a Security Manager to partner with the Director of Security to safeguard employees, tenants and visitors across its portfolio. You will oversee security supervisors and guards, patrol properties, and help manage responses to disasters and incidents on site.

Key responsibilities include establishing security goals, communicating strategies, ensuring staffing, and coordinating with law enforcement, all while upholding sustainability and operational excellence

Qualifications

• Articulate security issues and plan short- and long-term strategy.
• Understand physical security strategies, policies, and standards.
• Think critically through complex situations.
• Define access control policies and governance.
• Plan for business continuity and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Sr. Security Manager in goal setting and workforce planning.
• Communicate physical and technical security strategies to staff.
• Ensure staffing and scheduling for supervised areas.
• Respond promptly to security breaches and incidents.
• Collaborate with senior management to maintain security best practices.
• Liaise with government agencies and law enforcement to protect properties.
• Provide leadership, direction, and training to Security Guards.
• Take on additional responsibilities within the security organization.

15+ years security/law enforcement experience with 5+ in management
