Security Program Lead for 24/7 Campus Operations

Job summary

Dexterra seeks an experienced Security Manager to oversee a 24/7 workforce accommodation hub serving 4,000+ residents, employees and visitors. You’ll unify contract security teams, own post orders, manage access, lead incident response and investigations, and drive improvements using data.

This on-site leadership role requires strong communication and a service-oriented security culture, with responsibilities including security operations, vendor management, and risk mitigation across the campus.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of progressively responsible physical-security experience, including at least three years leading a large site, campus, industrial, hospitality, residential, military, public-safety or contract-guard operation.
• Working knowledge of access control, visitor management, CCTV/video surveillance, radio communications, incident management, patrol operations and physical-security principles.
• Experience developing post orders, standard operating procedures, emergency protocols, staffing plans, training programs and performance metrics.
• Sound judgment under pressure and the ability to lead a coordinated response while communicating clearly with senior leaders and frontline personnel.
• Strong investigation, report-writing, conflict-resolution, coaching and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct the 24/7 security program across gates, patrols, dispatch/control room, resident areas, parking, deliveries, special events and other posts.
• Set service expectations, validate staffing and qualifications, review schedules, conduct post inspections, manage deficiencies and hold security vendors accountable to contracts and KPIs.
• Own the site security plan, post orders, SOPs, emergency response protocols and threat playbooks; keep current as occupancy and activity change.
• Maintain credentialing, visitor-management, coordinate vehicle screening, deliveries, parking enforcement and safe movement.
• Coordinate response to violence, threats, trespass, theft, fire alarms, medical events, severe weather, missing persons, demonstrations.
• Lead or coordinate investigations, evidence handling, interviews, trend analysis and corrective actions with HR, Legal and law enforcement.
• Oversee CCTV/video management, access-control, intrusion/alarm, radio, duress and incident-management systems; coordinate lifecycle with IT and Facilities.
• Establish a professional, service-oriented security culture; coach supervisors; lead drills and after-action reviews.
• Conduct security risk assessments, audits and vulnerability reviews; monitor threats; maintain risk register and budgets.
• Build relationships with hub operations, Safety, HR, Facilities, IT, client reps, construction teams, EMS, fire and law enforcement.
