Job summary

The Durst Organization seeks a Security Manager to collaborate with the Director of Security to safeguard employees, tenants and visitors across properties. You will oversee security supervisors and officers, conduct portfolio patrols, and help manage responses to disasters.

The role requires extensive experience in security strategy, access control governance, and incident response, with supervisory responsibilities and emphasis on sustainability integration within security practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in criminal justice or related field.
• 15 years of security/law enforcement experience with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Must possess HR-218 Certification and NYS Armed Guard License and a valid MVO license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting security goals and planning for the future.
• Communicate physical and technical security strategies to staff.
• Ensure staffing and scheduling for supervised areas.
• Respond quickly to security incidents reported by tenants and staff.
• Collaborate to maintain best security practices and document disciplinary matters.
