Amazon Corporate Security is seeking a proactive and self-driven security professional who aligns with Amazon’s Leadership Principles, including Customer Obsession, Deliver Results, Earn Trust, and Bias for Action. The Security Manager will be based in the San Francisco Bay Area and report to a Regional Security Manager, overseeing security operations across multiple Amazon locations within the region.

The role involves supporting the deployment of the Corporate Security program, managing daily security operations, conducting assessments, and collaborating with security teams and external partners to ensure safety and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide top-tier security services to protect Amazon employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Serve as a trusted security advisor, communicating effectively with stakeholders.
• Manage security operations across diverse sites and client needs.
• Implement security policies, plans, and programs aligned with organizational goals.
• Coordinate incident response and address security concerns promptly.
• Monitor external threats and adapt security measures accordingly.
• Align security metrics and strategies to support the team’s mission.
• Build relationships with internal teams and external agencies, including law enforcement.

A Day in the Life

• Oversee guarding services and vendor performance, seeking cost efficiencies.
• Conduct security assessments and audits, identify gaps, and lead security drills.
• Manage security projects and incident investigations.
• Support organizational safety initiatives and maintain security infrastructure.

About The Team

The Global Corporate Security team manages security operations worldwide, divided into regional teams led by regional heads, working collaboratively to safeguard Amazon’s people and assets.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of security experience in a large or global organization.
• Experience managing vendors and service providers.
• Knowledge of security operations, risk management, and incident response.
• Ability to develop and deliver security training.
• Experience conducting investigations and managing projects.
• Proficiency in English communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or relevant certifications.
• Experience in corporate security for large or government entities.
• Knowledge of crisis management, legal contracts, and security technologies.
• Skills in security standards development, trend analysis, and use of security software.
