Aman Group’s Aman New York is seeking a Security Manager to lead the security department, protect guests and assets, and report to the Director of Security. The role emphasizes high standards, incident review, SOP development, and collaboration with other departments in a fast-paced luxury hotel environment.

The position requires 5+ years of supervisory experience, FDNY T-89 certification, and exceptional communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a luxury hospitality environment.
• Must possess a T-89 Certificate of Fitness from FDNY.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced luxury setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards with guests and colleagues at all times.
• Lead and support the Security team under the Director and Assistant Director.
• Ensure safety programs and SOPs are implemented across the department.
• Review incident, loss and accident reports and follow up accordingly.
• Oversee fire life safety policies as required by NYCFD.

Location Overview

Role

The Security Manager will manage the department, protecting personnel, guests, and property grounds. Assist the Director and Assistant Director of Security in leading the team, oversee safety programs, and act as a liaison with law enforcement. This position has an annual compensation range of $80,000 - $85,000.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high level of standards with guest and colleagues at all times.
• Conduct all day-to-day operations duties as directed Ability to support and collaborate with all departments within the hotel to ensure unity and high luxury standards.
• Create a safe and secure environment for our guests and colleagues by ensuring House Officers are making a minimum of 2 tours of property per shift.
• Assist in the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures for the Department.
• Review and follow-up on all incident, loss and accident reports.
• Be responsible for the fire life safety policies and procedures as dictated by NYCFD fire safety director legislation.
• Assist in training all colleagues in emergency procedure preparedness.
• Effectively enforce hotel’s rules and regulations.
• Anticipate and understand the needs of our guests.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a luxury hospitality environment.
• Must possess a T-89 Certificate of Fitness from FDNY.
• Ability to handle guest requests, complaints, and concerns in an efficient, calm, and genuine manner.
• Positive, inclusive, genuine, innovative, engaging, and energetic personality.
• Able to be organized, manage time wisely, showcase high levels of attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift, push, items, equipment, and packages of up to 50lbs.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English, multi-lingual is a plus.
• Able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, fast paced environment.
• Excellent people skills with the ability to work under pressure and with various stakeholders.
