The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for ensuring guest and associate safety and security, responding promptly to incidents, and completing shift routines according to Omni standards.

Responsibilities
  1. Respond immediately to emergency incidents and security requests.
  2. Monitor compliance with all safety programs, training, and SOPs; report deficiencies.
  3. Promote safety for guests, associates, and hotel property.
  4. Enforce hotel policies politely but firmly.
  5. Ensure security functions are properly executed.
  6. Assign shift personnel appropriately.
  7. Communicate daily events, incidents, and directives within the Loss Prevention team.
  8. Review security reports for accuracy and timeliness.
  9. Coordinate onboarding training for new Loss Prevention staff.
  10. Maintain good relationships with other hotel departments to ensure efficient service.
  11. Report property deficiencies and safety hazards.
  12. Investigate incidents such as thefts, losses, and accidents, and complete reports.
  13. Maintain key control and investigate discrepancies.
  14. Keep security equipment in good condition.
  15. Monitor lobby, restaurant, restrooms, parking, and room service areas to control non-guests.
  16. Report unauthorized hotel entrance/exits by staff.
  17. Inspect the exterior of the building periodically.
  18. Maintain communication with Loss Prevention leadership.
  19. Understand emergency procedures and radio codes.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Loss Prevention, preferably in upscale hospitality.
  • First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
  • Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • State of Tennessee unarmed Security Officer License or ability to obtain after hire.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
