Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Security and Loss Prevention Specialist (SLP Specialist) for Worldwide Operations Security. The role leads efforts to protect people, property, and data within a designated building, reporting to the Cluster Manager for the region and supporting cross-functional teams across the organization.

Responsibilities include conducting confidential investigations, identifying vulnerabilities, liaising with leadership, and developing alarm-reduction strategies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE) experience or 1+ year in security-related fields such as investigations, loss prevention, asset protection, or law enforcement.
• 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Workplace incident mitigation or business continuity planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct confidential investigations and prepare prompt written reports of theft, fraud, and critical incidents.
• Identify vulnerabilities and define mitigating actions while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Serve as department liaison and security/crisis management SME for site leadership and keep them informed on key issues and performance.
• Develop strategies for alarm reduction and conduct system diagnostics with internal and external partners.
• Domestic travel up to 25% of the time when applicable.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and work in shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays; perform in variable temperatures and environments.
