Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Security and Loss Prevention Specialist (SLP Specialist) to safeguard people, product, and data within a designated building. You will lead investigations, assess vulnerabilities, and work with cross-functional teams to improve security and incident response across 24/7 operations.

The role requires lifting up to 49 pounds, long shifts, and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• 2+ years of Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE) experience, or 1+ year in security service, loss prevention, asset protection, investigations, law enforcement, or operations, or Loss Prevention Qualified Career Choice Graduate.
• 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, in a professional capacity.
• Workplace incident mitigation or de-escalation and Business Continuity planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct confidential investigations and prepare prompt written reports of theft, fraud, and critical incidents.
• Contribute to identification of vulnerabilities and define mitigations while ensuring legal and ethical standards.
• Serve as department liaison and security/crisis management SME for site leadership.
• Develop strategies for alarm reduction and conduct system diagnostics for problematic devices with internal/external partners.
• Domestic regional travel up to 25% of the time when applicable.
• Physical exertion including lifting up to 49 pounds, standing for long hours, and operating in variable environments.
