Job summary

Amazon’s Worldwide Operations Security (WWOS) seeks a Security and Loss Prevention Specialist (SLP Specialist) to lead investigations, mitigate risk, and coordinate with internal teams and external partners across multiple shifts.

This hourly role requires strong analytical and communication skills, physical stamina, and a commitment to protecting people, product, and data in a dynamic fulfillment environment.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• 2+ years of Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE) experience, or 1+ year in security service, loss prevention, asset protection, investigations, law enforcement, or operations, or Loss Prevention Qualified Career Choice Graduate.
• 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, in a professional capacity.
• Workplace incident mitigation or de-escalation and Business Continuity planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct confidential investigations and prepare prompt written reports of theft, fraud, and critical incidents
• Contribute to the identification of vulnerabilities and define mitigating actions while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards
• Serve as department liaison and security/crisis management expert for site leadership
• Develop strategies for alarm reduction and conduct system diagnostic for problematic devices with internal/external partners
• Domestic regional travel up to 25% of the time when applicable
• Lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk for up to 12 hours; work in variable temperatures and loud environments; climb stairs where applicable
