Job summary

Per Mar Security Services in Grand Forks, ND is seeking a Full-Time Loss Prevention Officer to identify and apprehend shoplifters through floor patrol and CCTV, while producing clear reports.

The successful candidate will communicate with local law enforcement as needed, provide courtroom testimony if required, and maintain professional behavior on shifts. A high school diploma and reliable transportation are required; prior LP or law enforcement experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Pre-Employment Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 3-4 hours at a time.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
• Ability to communicate clearly and accurately through verbal and written means.
• Ability to write legible, accurate and easily understood reports.
• Must be assertive, yet controlled in dealing with confrontation.
• Must be trustworthy and able to work under little or no direct supervision.
• Attendance for scheduled shifts; tardiness and absenteeism not tolerated.
• Previous Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement experience is a plus.

Job Description

• Identify and Apprehend Shoplifters through floor patrol and the use of Closed Circuit TV Cameras
• Report Writing
• Interacting with local Law Enforcement as needed
• Provide Courtroom Testimony as required
