Job summary

Per Mar Security Services seeks a dedicated Loss Prevention Officer in Council Bluffs to deter shoplifting and protect assets across retail environments. You will patrol floors, operate CCTV, and report incidents clearly for internal review.

Responsibilities include identifying suspects, coordinating with local law enforcement, and providing courtroom testimony when required. Applicants should be reliable, able to read and write proficiently in English, and able to work independently with

Qualifications

• Pre-employment background check and drug screening may be required.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for 3–4 hours at a time.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
• Ability to write legible, accurate reports.
• Must be able to handle confrontation calmly and assertively.

Job Description

• Identify and Apprehend Shoplifters through floor patrol and the use of Closed Circuit TV Cameras
• Report Writing
• Interacting with local Law Enforcement as needed
• Provide Courtroom Testimony when required

Job Requirement

• Pre-Employment Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 3-4 hours at a time
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
• Ability to communicate clearly and accurately through verbal and written means
• Ability to write legible, accurate and easily understood reports
• Must be assertive, yet controlled in dealing with confrontation
• Must be trustworthy and able to work under little or no direct supervision
• Attendance for scheduled shifts. Tardiness and absenteeism is not tolerated
• Previous Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement experience is a plus but not a requirement
• Criminal Justice or related studies a plus
• High School diploma or equivalent (minimum)
