Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a Full-Time Loss Prevention Officer to protect assets and deter theft at client locations. The role requires strong observation, reporting, and communication skills, with the ability to interact with law enforcement when needed and to testify when required.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or equivalent, be able to read and write clearly in English, and be able to obtain state PERC clearance.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
• Pre-Employment Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening required.
• Criminal Justice or related studies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and apprehend shoplifters through floor patrol and CCTV.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident and surveillance reports.
• Interact with local law enforcement as needed.
• Provide courtroom testimony as required.

• Identify and Apprehend Shoplifters through floor patrol and the use of Closed Circuit TV Cameras
• Report Writing
• Interacting with local Law Enforcement as needed
• Provide Courtroom Testimony as required

• Pre-Employment Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening
• Must be able to obtain state required PERC prior to employment
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 3-4 hours at a time
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
• Ability to communicate clearly and accurately through verbal and written means
• Ability to write legible, accurate and easily understood reports
• Must be assertive, yet controlled in dealing with confrontation
• Must be trustworthy and able to work under little or no direct supervision
• Attendance for scheduled shifts. Tardiness and absenteeism is not tolerated
• Previous Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement experience is a plus but not a requirement
• Criminal Justice or related studies a plus
• High School diploma or equivalent (minimum)
