Job summary

This role supports security and functionality of facilities through preventive maintenance, emergency response, and technical expertise in mechanical and electronic security systems.

Qualifications

• Journey-level locksmith skills demonstrated via apprenticeship program.
• Experience with manual and electronic locking systems.
• Knowledge of master key systems and access control documentation.
• Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Familiarity with building, fire, and life-safety codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, and repairs to maximize system reliability.
• Install security hardware and coordinate with contractors during renovations.
• Respond to emergency service requests to restore building security.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair locking systems, doors, and related hardware.
• Program and troubleshoot electronic access control systems.
• Maintain master key records and access control documentation.
