Job summary

From entry-level tasks to leading complex master key projects, technicians work under supervision and then independently at higher levels.

Qualifications

• Two years full-time general locksmithing experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience).
• Ability to understand master keying systems requirements and develop appropriate key codes.
• Experience with manual and computerized key records and filing systems.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform entry-level locksmith tasks and assist in resolving basic lock and key service requests.
• Independently perform locksmith services and support advanced master key systems.
• Manage complex locksmith tasks and lead design, installation, and maintenance of master key systems.
• Lead design, engineering, and management of campus-wide advanced master key systems and software.
