Job summary

The University of Toledo is seeking a dedicated Security Officer 2 to support hospital safety on the Health Science Campus. You will lead shift staffing, coordinate incident reports, and collaborate with UT Police and hospital staff to keep patients, visitors, and employees safe.

Requirements include a HS diploma (associates preferred), two years of security or related experience, and a valid driver’s license. CPR/AED and professional assault crisis training are also expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Two years of security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability per university policy.

Responsibilities

• Lead functions for security staff: scheduling, shift staffing, incident reports, assignments, and daily task management.
• Coordinate with University of Toledo Police and Hospital Staff to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, staff, faculty and students.
• Operate dispatch center and field operations on Health Science Campus, adhering to security procedures and iCare standards.
