Job summary

The University of Toledo Security Officer 1 on the Health Science Campus provides a safe environment for patients, visitors, staff and students. Working with UT Police and hospital staff, you monitor surroundings, respond to emergencies, and uphold iCare standards and security procedures.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and proficiency with security technology including radios, ARMS/CAD, CCTV, and Pro-Watch.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability required.
• Knowledgeable of Microsoft computer systems.
• Train and become proficient in the Kenwood and Motorola radio systems, ARMS, CAD, Pro-Watch, CCTV and Milestone systems.
• Obtain CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
• Complete training in ARMS/CAD incident entry.
• Must be dependable and able to function across multiple locations.
• Honesty, integrity and trustworthiness to the highest degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, staff, faculty and students.
• Collaborate with University of Toledo Police and Hospital staff for emergency responses.
• Administer Security Operating Procedures and iCare Standards.
• Attend department safety education and training to maintain a safe work environment.
