Job summary

The University of Toledo is seeking a Security Officer 2 to oversee daily security operations on the Health Science Campus. You will schedule staffing, handle incident reports, and coordinate with campus police and hospital staff to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and employees.

This role requires leadership, strong communication, and proficiency with security systems including Pro-Watch, CCTV and radio networks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Two years of Security officer, law enforcement, or military service experience.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability under university policy.
• Supervisory/leadership experience desired or ability to lead.
• Proficiency with security tech: 900 MHz Kenwood, Motorola radio, ARMS, Pro-Watch, CCTV.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• Certified in Professional Assault Crisis Training.
• Computer skills in Word, Excel, Internet, and email.

Responsibilities

• Manage dispatch center operations and field operations on Health Science Campus.
• Schedule, shift staffing, and incident reporting; assign daily tasks.
• Coordinate with UT Police and Hospital Staff to maintain safety.
• Follow Security Operating Procedures and iCare customer service standards.
