Job summary

TEKsystems in San Antonio, TX seeks motivated Security Service Technicians to install, service, and troubleshoot access control, CCTV/video surveillance, and intrusion alarm systems in commercial environments.

You will work with lead technicians, travel to local job sites, receive manufacturer training, and have opportunities for long-term career growth. OSHA 10 certification preferred; valid driver's license required; contract-to-hire path with a company vehicle after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience installing or servicing commercial security systems.
• Experience with Access Control, CCTV/IP Video Surveillance, Intrusion Alarm Systems, and low voltage cabling.
• Basic networking knowledge, including IP addressing and network-connected devices.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and OSHA 10 certification.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and test commercial security systems.
• Support and maintain access control, CCTV/video surveillance, and intrusion alarm systems.
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting both onsite and remotely.
• Assist with programming and configuration of network-connected security devices.
• Pull and terminate low-voltage cabling as needed.
• Follow installation standards, safety requirements, and project specifications.
• Work closely with lead technicians and project teams to complete installations.
• Provide professional customer service and communicate effectively with clients.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of service activities.
• Travel locally to customer job sites throughout the San Antonio area.

Description

Looking for a security service technician Experience in troubleshooting and programming networked access control and IP video systems, including working on the customer’s network.. Knowledge and practical experience with the internet and networking is essential. Must be able to work independently and resolve problems to our customer’s satisfaction. Must possess a valid driving license and clean MVR. Current certification or proficiency in one of the following is a plus: Access Control: Pro-Watch, Genetec, Software House, Lenel/S2, OpenPath. Video: Axis, Exacq, Milestone, Genetec, Victor, Avigilon, Hanwha. Intrusion: DMP, Honeywell, DSC. Security 101 will invest in training for the right candidate. They will get a company vehicle once going full time.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
