Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a security installation specialist for a contract-to-hire role in Cape Coral, Florida. You will install and test copper and fiber cabling for security hardware, configure IP cameras and NVRs, and ensure systems operate with proper network setup and remote monitoring capabilities.

The position is fully onsite in Cape Coral, with a pay range of $30.00–$40.00 per hour and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing and troubleshooting electronic security systems.
• Install and program IP-based video cameras, card readers, and intrusion alarm systems.
• Read blueprints, follow building codes, NEC standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test copper and fiber optic cabling for security systems.

Installation: Run, terminate, and test copper (Cat5e/Cat6) and fiber optic cables for security hardware. Setup access control panels, electric locks, and surveillance cameras (analog and IP).Programming: Configure IP addresses, network video recorders (NVRs), and client software for remote monitoring and video analytics. Troubleshooting: Diagnose wiring failures, network connectivity problems, and faulty system components using multimeters and cable testers. Compliance: Read blueprints and follow building codes, OSHA guidelines, and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
