Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC in Casper, WY seeks a Security Install Technician responsible for the installation, testing, and commissioning of intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and other low-voltage security systems at customer sites.

You will read blueprints, install components, ensure code-compliant performance, document visits, and communicate progress to customers and team members. Travel to job sites and safety compliance are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years in fire and life safety industry as apprentice or technician.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, if driving role.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with commercial security systems and integrated low-voltage platforms preferred.
• Manufacturer certifications in security or access control systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, testing, and commissioning of intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, system layouts, and technical manuals.
• Install system components including devices, panels, wiring, and hardware per project specs.
• Test and verify proper system functionality and compliance with codes and customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and complete corrective actions professionally and timely.
