Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a Security Install Technician to install, test, and commission intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and other low-voltage systems. You will read blueprints, install components, and verify system performance to meet codes and customer expectations.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in the field, a Michigan FAST license preferred, and the ability to work independently on standard installations at various sites.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in fire and life safety systems as an apprentice or technician.
• Strong understanding of intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and low-voltage systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and system drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, testing, and commissioning of security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, and CCTV.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, system layouts, and manuals.
• Install system components per project specifications and ensure proper functionality and compliance.
