Pouring with Heart is seeking a Security Host in Los Angeles to create a safe, welcoming environment for guests and staff. You’ll represent the first and last impression of the bar, balancing professional security with hospitality.

Your responsibilities include greeting guests, verifying IDs, monitoring for safety, de-escalating conflicts, and assisting with crowd flow while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years prior security, guest services, or hospitality experience preferred
• Strong situational awareness, confidence, and professionalism under pressure
• Ability to de-escalate conflicts with patience, respect, and clear communication
• Must be 21+ and have valid security guard certifications if required (varies by state)

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and set the tone for a safe, welcoming environment
• Verify IDs accurately and manage guest entry in line with venue policies
• Monitor the floor and bar areas for safety concerns, escalating issues when necessary
• Support staff and guests through conflict resolution and clear communication
• Use de-escalation techniques to manage situations calmly and respectfully
• Assist with crowd flow, line management, and capacity control during peak hours
• Report incidents, hazards, or policy violations to leadership promptly
• Follow all health, safety, and compliance standards, including responsible alcohol service and emergency procedures
