Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer, Unarmed Vehicle Driver in Normal, IL. You will provide customer service to employees, visitors and vendors, conduct patrols at automotive facilities, and assist with access control and incident response.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as per law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Loss prevention and customer service experience preferred.
• Guard Card or license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of automotive facilities, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access, verify credentials, and maintain entry records per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Document observations and patrol activity accurately and communicate during handoffs.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an automotive location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver's license. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related needs with integrity, reliability, and a team-focused approach at Allied Universal.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of automotive manufacturing facilities, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as directed, and maintain visitor and vehicle entry records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel when needed.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
