Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer (Full Time Unarmed Mobile Driver) in Normal, IL. You will patrol, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service at an automotive location while driving as needed.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Guard card or security license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• State, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Subject to background check and drug screening as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at an automotive location by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and access-control concerns, documenting observations and notifying site contacts and leadership.
• Conduct regular patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter spaces to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, assisting with orderly entry/exit processes.
• Complete accurate reports and incident documentation according to site requirements and procedures.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at an automotive manufacturing and operations location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, production-adjacent spaces, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and assist with maintaining orderly entry and exit processes.
• Complete accurate reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Loss prevention is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
