Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Emergency Response in Lancaster, PA to protect clients across industries, including Food/Beverage. This role offers a flexible schedule via our Claim a Shift platform and opportunities to grow within a welcoming, team‑oriented environment.

You will patrol the site, deter incidents, manage access control, respond to incidents, and complete reports using our security tools.

Qualifications

• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, loading docks, and access points.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor/contractor records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and escalate when needed.
• Document patrols and security activities using required reporting tools.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.52 / Hour

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)

  • All candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets for email communication and other related tasks.
  • Candidates may be required to complete a basic skills assessment to verify their comfort level with technology.
  • Email communication should be clear, concise, and free of technical errors.

• Customer Service Experience (B219)

  • Candidates should possess prior customer service experience, which may be evaluated through email interactions during the application process.
  • Emails should reflect a professional tone, demonstrating the ability to handle inquiries and provide assistance effectively.
  • Candidates are encouraged to showcase their customer service skills through examples in their email correspondence.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a food and beverage manufacturing location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, loading docks, and designated access points to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as directed, and maintain visitor and contractor entry records in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Document patrols, observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and promptly using required reporting tools.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
