As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Associate in Hershey, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.52 / Hour

1. Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)

   • Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets for daily tasks. This includes, but is not limited to:
     • Navigating software applications
     • Utilizing email and communication tools
     • Accessing and managing digital files
   • Candidates may be required to complete a basic computer skills assessment during the interview process.

2. Customer Service Experience (B219)

   • A minimum of [insert number] years of customer service experience is required. Candidates should be able to:
     • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
     • Resolve conflicts and handle customer inquiries professionally
     • Exhibit a strong understanding of customer needs and expectations
   • Relevant experience in a similar industry will be considered an asset.

3. Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)

   • Candidates should have experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes:
     • Familiarity with security protocols and procedures
     • Experience in issuing and managing access badges for employees and visitors
     • Understanding of compliance and safety regulations related to access control
   • Previous experience in a security or facilities management role is preferred.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a food and beverage production location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access control points, check credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report unusual activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Complete detailed reports, daily activity logs, and shift handoffs to document incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
