Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Visitor Services in Hershey, PA. You will monitor and safeguard clients, maintain a visible presence, manage access points, and assist employees and visitors with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while following site-specific security procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies per established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of facilities to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain logs and shift documentation.
• Support a clean, orderly work environment by following site rules including food-production access and sanitation requirements.

As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, manage access points, and assist employees and visitors with professionalism. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.52 / Hour

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing employee badges and access rights within a secure environment.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets. This includes the ability to navigate software applications, manage files, and utilize communication tools effectively.

• Customer Service Experience (B219)Candidates should possess a background in customer service. This includes experience in handling customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing support in a professional and courteous manner.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of food and beverage production areas, warehouses, parking areas, offices, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and shift documentation.
• Support a clean, orderly work environment by following applicable site rules, including food-production access and sanitation-related requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
