Allied Universal in Hershey, PA is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Visitor Services to safeguard clients across industries. This part-time role involves patrolling, controlling access, and delivering professional customer service while using mobile tools.

The schedule is Fri and Sat nights (10:00 PM – 06:00 AM). Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, 18+ (21+ for armed roles), background check, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access-control requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, offices, and facility perimeter.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain logs and shift documentation.
• Support a clean, orderly work environment by following site rules, including sanitation-related requirements.

As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, manage access points, and assist employees and visitors with professionalism. Use computer or tablet tools to support daily operations while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.52 / Hour

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201) Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing employee badges and access rights within a secure environment.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204) Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets. This includes the ability to navigate software applications, manage files, and utilize communication tools effectively.

• Customer Service Experience (B219) Candidates should possess a background in customer service. This includes experience in handling customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing support in a professional and courteous manner.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access‑control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of food and beverage production areas, warehouses, parking areas, offices, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and shift documentation.
• Support a clean, orderly work environment by following applicable site rules, including food‑production access and sanitation‑related requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
