Job summary

Allied Universal in Boise, ID is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) to perform routine patrols and ensure a safe environment at a technology, media, and telecom location. You will provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with company policy.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• State, county, or city security license preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check conducted as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on local regulations; may be required.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM


• Sat 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, construction areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.


• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate activity logs.


• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.


• Help support a professional, orderly environment at a technology, media, and telecommunications-related location by communicating observations and concerns to Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.


• Possess supervisory experience.


• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.


• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.


• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
