Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for a Woodland Hills mall location in California. You will provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and clients, while applying site-specific policies and emergency procedures.

The role emphasizes patrols, a visible presence to deter incidents, prompt incident reporting, and collaboration with site management.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of retail common areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help deter unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and/or other policy violations.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and/or patrol reports and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
