As a Security Guard Part Time Unarmed Mobile Patrol Driver in Torrance, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail plaza, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to visitors and tenants. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will communicate clearly, respond professionally to concerns, and support a welcoming environment while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and complete required reports.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail common areas, storefronts, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and activity throughout the location, assist with directions and escort requests, and communicate relevant information to property management and public responders as needed.
• Support a welcoming retail environment by maintaining a professional presence and following Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
