Allied Universal, Springfield, IL, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol Operations) to safeguard patients, visitors and staff at a healthcare location. You will perform routine and random patrols, maintain a visible presence, assist with directions, and respond to security concerns while delivering exceptional customer service.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of security-related experience preferred, and flexibility for Fri/Sat night shifts.

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following healthcare location protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and wayfinding, and report suspicious activity or policy violations.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain communication with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as needed.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established healthcare location protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and wayfinding, and report suspicious activity or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain communication with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
