As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver CPR in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in auto manufacturing and operations locations.

Qualifications

• Provide great customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel.
• Demonstrate clear communication in a security-focused environment.
• Maintain situational awareness and report anomalies promptly.
• Understand site-specific policies and emergency procedures.
• Familiarity with access-control technologies and badge systems is preferred.
• Maintain required licenses and certifications as per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at an automotive manufacturing and operations location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of manufacturing areas, parking lots, access points, office spaces, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing visitors and contractors, and reporting access-control irregularities according to site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.


• CPR certification is preferred.


• A guard card and/or license is preferred.


• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.


• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
