Allied Universal in Normal, IL is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Alarm Response to safeguard facilities across an automotive location. The role focuses on being visible, preventing incidents, and delivering professional customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers.

You'll patrol areas, monitor access points, respond to alarms, and complete clear reports while adhering to site policies and licensing requirements. The schedule is full-time with a pay rate of $19 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• State/county/city security license preferred.
• Age: 18+ for unarmed; 21+ for armed.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required.
• Drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers at an automotive manufacturing location while following site policies and procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and access-related concerns; notify site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, parking lots, vehicle storage areas, entrances and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel, visitors, and deliveries.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and completed activities in clear, accurate reports.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Alarm Response in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at an automotive location, you will conduct routine patrols and primarily drive throughout the property to help deter incidents, monitor access points, respond to alarms, and report security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative Allied Universal team that acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM
• Wed 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM
• Thur 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM
• Fri 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers at an automotive manufacturing location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, parking lots, vehicle storage areas, entrances, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel, visitors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and completed activities in clear, accurate reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security professional license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
