Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Guard (Unarmed Patrol Driver) in Carlsbad, CA. You will serve tenants, shoppers and staff, perform routine patrols, and maintain a visible security presence at a retail location.

The role emphasizes customer service, reporting, and following site procedures. A valid driver’s license is required in the job state; a high school diploma is expected, with background checks and drug screening as applicable.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license in the job state.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driving positions require a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, exterior perimeters, and/or service corridors, noting and reporting unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor access points and activity throughout the location, helping to deter unauthorized access, theft-related activity, and/or disruptive conduct.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance or security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and appropriate site contacts.

• Mon: 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM
• Fri: 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
