Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Retail Patrol) in San Diego, CA. You will provide customer service, perform patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents to maintain a safe residential environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• A guard card or license preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license preferred.
• CPR and First Aid are preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks subject to applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting relevant observations and incidents.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed by site policies.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid are preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
