Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Norfolk, VA. You will monitor access points, patrol facilities, and deliver professional customer service while upholding site policies and safety procedures.

Ideal candidates have CPR/First Aid certification preferred, 18+ (21+ for armed roles), a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, controlled areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities while maintaining confidentiality of site information.

As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.95 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 01:30 PM - 09:30 PM
• Fri: 01:30 PM - 09:30 PM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
