Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed CPR Response Patrol Security Guard in Norfolk, VA. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, and provide excellent customer service to clients in aerospace and defense locations.

The role offers flexible scheduling with multiple shifts and a focus on teamwork, integrity, and a customer-first mindset. CPR/First Aid certs preferred, background checks and drug screening conducted as part of employment.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Guard Card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization credentials, and document visitor activity per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, professional manner and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities and perimeter locations.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports while maintaining confidentiality.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, controlled areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities while maintaining confidentiality of site information.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
