Job summary

Allied Universal in Normal, IL is seeking a Security Officer for full-time unarmed alarm response. You will protect clients across automotive manufacturing sites, perform routine patrols, monitor access points, respond to alarms, and deliver exceptional customer service.

You will work on day shifts per schedule, with opportunities to grow within a dynamic, safety-focused team that values integrity, reliability, and community trust.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security professional license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to static and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, parking lots, vehicle storage areas, entrances, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel, visitors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and completed activities in clear, accurate reports.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Alarm Response in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at an automotive location, you will conduct routine patrols and primarily drive throughout the property to help deter incidents, monitor access points, respond to alarms, and report security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative Allied Universal team that acts with integrity.
