Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Mobile Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA to safeguard clients and provide excellent customer service in a dynamic environment. You will perform patrols, monitor access, and maintain a visible presence at a utilities site as part of a full-time driving security team.

Ideal candidates bring at least 1 year of security experience, a valid driver’s license, and familiarity with access control/badge systems.

Qualifications

• 1 year or more of security-related experience is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
• Guard card or license preferred and beneficial.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is advantageous.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials, and report access concerns.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and contact appropriate responders as needed.
• Prepare reports and logs; communicate observations to leadership and site contacts.

As a Driving Unarmed Security Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, facility concerns, and unauthorized access.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as required, document visitor and contractor activity, and report access-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare accurate reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
