Pay Rate: $23.96 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, visitors, and delivery partners by carrying out access‑control procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct approved individuals to designated areas.
• Control access for delivery vehicles and drivers in accordance with site procedures, documenting arrivals, departures, and irregular activity as required.
• Respond to incidents, access‑control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
