Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a Full Time Unarmed Patrol at our Elwood, IL site. You will monitor and patrol an industrial facility, maintain a visible security presence, and provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors.

The role includes day/evening shifts with a pay rate of $21.00 per hour. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, background check, drug screening, and licensing as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Monitor access, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and document incidents.
• Observe and report unusual activity or security concerns to deter unauthorized access.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Elwood, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will conduct routine rounds, communicate professionally, and provide exceptional customer service while upholding Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the industrial distribution location, including the building exterior, perimeter, parking areas, loading docks, and designated access points.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain required visitor and incident documentation.
• Observe and report unusual activity, unsecured doors, damaged property, or other security-related concerns to help deter unauthorized access and loss.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
